One-to-One Training in a Calm, Home-Based Setting

At Ruskies, I only take on one dog at a time for Board and Train and specialise in small to medium-sized breeds to ensure a calm, personalised experience. Your dog will receive lots of one-to-one attention, with multiple daily training sessions, enrichment activities, and peaceful rest periods in a structured, home-based setting. I have two young children, which provides great real-life distraction exposure in a controlled way—ideal for dogs learning to focus or stay calm around movement and noise.

While I do have two of my own dogs, they are kept entirely separate from the kennel and training areas, and there is no viewing or interaction with them during your dog’s stay to maintain a low-stress environment. Every training session is tracked and recorded, and you’ll receive regular photo and video updates to keep you connected with your dog’s progress. Your dog becomes part of our daily life—safe, calm, and fully supported.

Thank you Laura, you have been amazing. Still work to be done but what a transformation. I will carry on using the tools you provided me with. I now feel a lot more confident, and not stressed. We will see you soon. 5* dog trainer.
